RugDoctor cleans up on Twitter

A great example of a business using Twitter really well is @rugdoctoruk. They combine an informal approach with business tweets as well as providing value through links to interesting information.

We are informed in the Bio that tweets are from Charlotte which helps create a personal connection with the accounts followers. People prefer to talk with a person more that a company. Over the holiday period Charlotte cheerily wished people Happy Christmas and Happy New Year. She also tweets links to interesting articles:

Most impressive of all is the engagement with customers. Thanks to Richard Peirce of @rightonedesign who sent in the following tweet which was a reply to him checking into Foursquare and tweeting: “Hiring a rug doctor to clean the carpets. Hope it works, be good to see the difference it makes to 8 years of dirt!”
