It’s a massive benefit, particularly to small businesses that there is no cost involved in setting up a basic Facebook Page or other social network profiles and pages. However, there are few short cuts when it comes to making Social Media work. It takes time to listen, build your an engage with your audience.
Here are a few ideas on how you can be more efficient – using the lowest amount of inputs to create the greatest amount of outputs. Here are 5 ways to get the most from the time you invest in social media marketing.
1. Have a strategy – have a clear idea of what you are trying to achieve – strategy – and how you are going to achieve it – objectives supported by a plan. You’ll then be clear on the purpose of your social media activity and be able to focus on what matters.
2. Follow a content plan – create a content plan so you’ll know what to post and tweet and when you’re going to do it. A content plan should help you engage and build your followers. You’ll then avoid of staring at your laptop wondering what you’re going to tweet.

4. Build your toolkit – make sure you have easy access to tools like Buffer. You can create a bookmark folder called Tools or Toolkit and add links to your online tools or store links in Evernote or Google Keep.
