John Lewis perform on Pinterest

For many, Pinterest has changes the way holidays are chosen, homes are decorated and new clothes selected. It’s a huge library of pictures and videos fronted with an efficient search engine. Pinterest provides a huge amount of ideas and inspiration from people all over the world. Learn more with my Pinterest training.

Users can admire destinations they’ve not yet travelled to, choose colour combinations for interior design and view fabrics and fashion they hope to wear. If anything catches their eye they can re-pin a particular image or video.

John Lewis are one of a number of brands who are using Pinterest to provide inspiration around their product range. Their ultimate aim isto encourage people to visit their website to make purchases. As can be seen below and in other examples in my Pinterest training, many of the boards are about ideas.

A single click on a pin or image of a product enlarges it and a further click takes you to the item page on johnlewis.com. You can then add it to your shopping basket and purchase.

As well as inspirational boards there are product launch and press show boards. I particularly like theĀ Your John Lewis Inspiration board which involves customers by showcasing pins that they’ve pinned to their own boards.

Hat tip to @dynamicmonkeys for flagging up this board to me. If you have any examples or if you spot any new Pinterest features, I’d be delighted to hear about them. So please let me know.

I run Pinterest training via Zoom and face to face, so if you would like to view more examples and learn how Pinterest can benefit your business please get in touch,
