The #SocialMediaShow is aimed at people who work with or who are interested in social media. We discuss the latest social media news, provide top tips, useful tools and handy stats plus it’s an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you have on social media.

Today’s show notes

Question time
What do you think of the new LinkedIn desktop redesign? Let me know in the Comments below.

Social media tip
Add all your social networks to the About section of your Facebook Page and Profile to make you and your business more accessible to potential clients and customers. The main social networks each have an icon and although are not currently displayed as links, Facebook are testing buttons. I often look on a person’s Facebook profile to see if they’re on Twitter and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Tools talk
Unroll.me – Fed up with all those unwanted email newsletters and want to do something about it? Try unroll.me which is available on the web and as an ioS app. Unroll.me say, “Instantly see a list of all your subscription emails. Unsubscribe easily from whatever you don’t want.”

Number of the week
My number of the week is 71%. According to a Retale survey, 71% of those surveyed are interested in interacting with chatbots from major consumer brands. Furthermore, approximately 7 out of 8 agree that more brands should use chatbots to promote deals, products, or services. Doing business via Messenger is here. If you need help with this please get in touch.

Facebook Ads Workshop
Talking of Facebook, if not yet using Facebook Ads then you’re not making the most of your Facebook Page. Join me for this 2.5 hour Facebook Ads workshop to learn everything you need to setup and make your Facebook Ads including promoted/boosted posts work. If you’re looking for training on other social networks check out our Social media training section.
