Artificial intelligence has become an essential part of my daily workflow, helping me be more productive, improve quality, and save valuable time. Here’s a look at how I leverage a variety of AI tools including ChatGPT, Copilot and Gamma to improve my working day and the resulting output.
Morning: Emails, Content Creation, Research and Summaries
Reviewing and Managing Emails Efficiently
Throughout the day and indeed every day, I use Copilot in Outlook to review and refine emails before sending them, ensuring clarity and professionalism while saving time on edits. I also asked for a list of unread emails so I could catch-up with messages that had come in the day before.
Creating Social Media Posts for Clients
First thing in the morning, I used ChatGPT to research the benefits of business education for a client’s social media campaign. AI quickly gathersed key insights, statistics, and persuasive points, which I then refined into an engaging post tailored to the client’s audience. Whilst AI can be prone to providing incorrect information or hallucinations, it’s great that if you use the right tools such as ChatGPT and ask for citations and sources, then you have references you can check for yourself.
Researching SMS Marketing for an Upcoming Training Session
For an upcoming training session with a charity, I needed to present on SMS or text message marketing. ChatGPT helped me research the best platforms, regulations, and best practices. Once I had the key details, I used Copilot in PowerPoint to generate slides and refining design elements- saving me lots of manual research and design work while ensuring a polished final result.
Chatting with AI and Summarising Meetings and Action Points
After a client training helping them with ChatGPT, I used Copilot in Microsoft Teams to generate an AI-summary of key discussion points and action items. This is great for me for future reference plus provides the client with an enhanced service removing the need for extensive note taking. As well as the slides and the recording, they are sent the summary as well, ensuring clear plan of action for them. To add an extra dimension to the meeting, the delegate and I
Mid-Morning: Course Development and News
Structuring a New Social Media Advertising Course
I’m developing a new social media advertising course and needed to create an agenda. Instead of starting from scratch, I used Copilot to extract details from all of my past social media courses where I’d covered social media ads. This helped me quickly build a comprehensive structure that covered the essential topics.
Setting Up AI for Ongoing News Updates
To stay up to date, I used ChatGPT to create recurring tasks that deliver daily news updates on social media trends and new features, new AI advancements, and the latest running news. Rather than having to seek out the news, I’m always informed without having to search manually.
Afternoon: Admin and Client Work
Extracting Email Addresses from Complex Data
A client provides a dataset with names, dates of birth, and other details, and I need to extract the email addresses. ChatGPT simplifies the process, saving me loads of time compared to manual sorting and copying/pasting.
Creating a Customer Avatar
For another client, I used ChatGPT to develop a detailed customer avatar, identifying their ideal audience’s demographics, pain points, and motivations. As an added bonus I also work with ChatGPT to provide phrases that can be used in their marketing that will resonate with their audience. This all helps the client refine their marketing strategy for better engagement and conversions. It’s great that small businesses now have the ability to obtain an accurate customer avatar even though they don’t have the resources of a big brand. I’ve now added Competitor Reports to my Webdog Reports service, so if you’d like crucial customer insights then order your report here.
Creating a LinkedIn Best Practice Slide Presentation with Gamma
For an upcoming training session on behalf of a training company, I used Gamma to generate a visually appealing slide presentation on LinkedIn best practices. I’ve only recently come across Gamma and for someone that creates loads of presentations, it’s going to be really useful as well as improving presentations for my clients. Unlike traditional presentation tools, Gamma enhances the slides by providing different layouts at the touch of a button and suggesting engaging visuals and designs, making the process both faster and the results top notch. The AI-driven tool streamlines the design process, ensuring the slides are professional and engaging while saving me significant preparation time. Late Afternoon: Training Preparation and Competitive Analysis
Generating Quizzes and Exercises for Training
To make my training sessions more interactive, I regular use ChatGPT to brainstorm exercises and create quizzes. This saves me time but more importantly improves engagement and ensures learning is enjoyable as well as effective for my delegates. On this occasion, I created a quiz for an upcoming Facebook Workshop with a group of voluntary organisations.
Conducting Competitor Analysis for Webdog Reports
To power my Webdog Reports service, I use ChatGPT to provide a whole range of useful analytical reports on business and marketing from Competitor to SEO reports. Following the release of Deep Research, these reports are now even more comprehensive and detailed. This time, I produced a report to identify competitors including an analysis of their marketing strategies, highlight key differentiators and recommending actions. AI enables to reports to provide valuable insights that help refine business and marketing strategy.
Evening: Documentation and Communication
Creating Instructions for Clients
A client needed guidance on removing private information from Google and Bing. So I used Copilot in Word to generate step-by-step instructions, before Copilot formatted them into a polished PDF for easy reference.
Extracting Text plus Analysis from a Whiteboard Session
During a brainstorming session the day before, I mapped out a digital marketing action plan on a whiteboard during an in-person training session for a charity. Instead of manually transcribing, which would have been time consuming, I used ChatGPT to extract and organise the text into a structured document. Once the text was extracted I then working with ChatGPT to highlight any gaps in the plan and to recommend additional actions.
